The Hope Chest

My wife's grandparents gave her a Lane Cedar Chest in 1973. Manufactured in December of 1972 it reflected the trends of the time. It had a sitting pad on the lid, faux wood panels and veneered MDF for a base. Through the years it suffered damage from many moves and everyday use. Once the feet were breaking off and the cushion pad split it became a "Round To It". I've not been diligent in taking before photos of my projects so you'll see these pick up after prepping the carcass.
